Our Energetic System

Updated: May 10, 2021

What if I told you that we are all energetic beings having a physical experience? And that our physical bodies exist inside of our energetic field or aura. Our physical bodies are therefore a manifestation of our energetic system. Cultures all around the world, including the ancient ones, know this to be true. Energy has many different names like Qi, Prana, Great Spirit, Well Being, Life Force Energy, etc. We all know that there is an energy within us that sustains our life, but do you really what this energy is?

Based on the ancient teachings in India, it is believed that there are seven main energy centers, or chakras, in our body. They extend from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. The chakras also correlate with a particular nerve plexus in the spinal column and an endocrine gland. The chakras are simple yet complex energy vortices, all governing different elements, bodily functions, organs, levels of consciousness, deities, colors, sound vibrations, and mantras.

The more we are able to tune in to this subtle energy, the easier it becomes to determine the vitality of our energetic system. Taking care of our energy is just as important as taking care of our physical bodies. When energy is flowing easily through our chakras and channels, we feel full of vitality. When energy becomes stagnant, too abundant, or diminished in any area of the energetic system, the energy flow decreases.

When the life force energy is not flowing freely over a long period of time, disease can manifest. The word disease comes from dis - ease. Meaning energy is not flowing easily through the energetic system. Through our many diverse life experiences, there are often old fragments and remnants left over from the difficult situations that need to be processed, healed, and/or cleared. Over time, we accumulate more and more fragments that add up to a bigger and bigger ball of energy that needs to be cleared. If this energy is not released, it can manifest as disease in the physical body.

Everyone releases energy in different ways. Some great ways to help clear your energetic field are to exercise, spend time in nature, garden, walk barefoot on the earth, paint, draw, sing, let your creative energy flow, meditate, yoga, energy healings, and many more.

My background in western medicine as a registered nurse, paved the way for me to have a better understanding of the energetic system. I see the need for both western medicine and a more holistic way of approaching the mind, body, and spirit. If you were in an accident or having an acute condition, you wouldn't go see your energy healer. You would want to go to the hospital. If you wanted to focus on the whole body and preventative care, eastern medicine practices and energy medicine is a better route, in my opinion.

Part of the reason I transitioned from western medicine to energy medicine, was to guide others to get to the root cause of their medical conditions and diagnoses. I feel that often times we go to the doctor looking for a solution to our physical symptoms and the result is most likely a pill. What does the pill do? It puts a band-aid on your emotional wound that needs to be cleared and released. You have to uncover the root cause of the problem. Yes, that pill can ease your symptoms and your suffering. But I encourage you to dig deeper. There is a way to really cure your medical conditions through healing emotional wounds, releasing old patterns, and clearing the energetic field.

I look forward to the day when there is a bridge built between energy medicine, eastern medicine, and western medical practices. Where they can all work hand in hand for the greatest good of the patient. Where the mind, body, and spirit are all factored in to the care.

I wish you many blessings and great health

Jenna
